What generation did you start with?

So, basically what this title is about.

What was your first generation as far as the Pokemon franchise goes? Were you one of those old-timers who got into it during the 1st Generation or did you only get in during the more recent generations?

Remember this topic covers more than just the games, so even if you started playing the games during 3rd Generation but started watching the anime during the 1st Generation, state that you got into it during 1st Generation.
