Where is Red? How do I find him?
Like in the original Gold & Silver, you need all Johto and Kanto Gym Badges. Once you have them, talk to Professor Oak and he will tell you Mt. Silver is now accessible and he will give you HM08 Rock Climb. Go through Route 22 and then you can travel up to Mt. Silver. In the cave, take the east path and climb using Rock Climb. Red will be located at the summit, in the hail conditions.

I heard there's a new Safari Zone, where is it?
The Safari Zone is no longer located in Kanto, and has been replaced by the Pal Park. The new Safari Zone is located west of Cianwood City.
Click here for the full Safari Zone guide.

Is the Bug Catching Contest back?
Yes it is. The contest takes place on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. You are given 20 Sport Balls and you can take the Pokemon in the first slot of your party to help you battle the wild Pokemon. Only one Pokemon can be caught at a time, if you capture a new one you will be asked if you want to replace the old Pokemon with the new one.

Where is Pal Park located?
Pal Park is located in Fuchsia City. You can access it once you receive the National Pokedex. Also, unlike in D/P/Pt, you are no longer restricted to 6 Pokemon every 24 hours. The Pal Park is also a Capture Show, where you will be scored depending on the Pokemon transferred and the time it takes to catch all 6. You can get various berries depending on how well you scored.

How do I win the Bug Catching Contest?
Your score will be determined by the Bug-type Pokemon's rarity, level and stats. The score will also be significantly higher if the Pokemon has more HP left at the time of capture.

I heard there's a Battle Frontier, is it any different than Platinum's?
No, the Battle Frontier in HG/SS has the exact same facilities as Platinum. You can find the Battle Frontier south of Olivine City, but the National Dex is required before you can enter.
