Evolution Methods Empty Evolution Methods

Post  Daikenki Wed Dec 19, 2012 7:02 am

The various triggers for evolving a Pokemon are almost as varied as the Pokemon themselves, and some Pokemon have unique evolving methods. Evolutions are performed in the following methods:

  • Leveling up
  • Reaching maximum happiness
  • Level up while holding an item
  • Level up while knowing a certain move
  • Level up in certain locations
  • Trading
  • Trading while holding an item
  • Using evolutionary stones

Adding on to that, there have also been situations in which the current party must be configured to a specific manner for some Pokemon to evolve, like Mantyke (which requires a Remoraid in the party to evolve) and Nincada (which evolves into Ninjask at Level 20, but if an empty space is present and also an extra Poke Ball is on hand, Shedinja will also appear). Also in the 5th Generation, Shelmet and Karrablast evolve into Accelgor and Escavalier respectively when traded for each other. Neither evolves if one holds an Everstone though.

Now, for the questions:

What is your fave evolution method?

Why do you prefer that method over the others?

What evolution method are you not particularly fond of?

Do you like evolving your Pokemon?
