Do you ditch your starters?

Another fun topic to discuss with fellow Pokemon gamers.
Do you ever ditch your starter when you play a Pokemon game? If you did, what made you ditch your starter? Or if you kept your starter, why do you keep it?
I never usually ditch my starters cos they usually help me a lot in the long run plus they are our first Pokemon. Not to mention I've been successful with most of my starter choices.
What about you? Discuss!

Hell to the no, I could never do such a thing.
I gain a really weird attachment to my starter, regardless of whether I like it or not. I'm not saying I use it 24/7, but I just always seem to need it in my team.
Although, I do remember when I was much younger, releasing my Charizard to see if I could do without it and spending the next four days weeping, haha.
